About the role:

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will:

  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities
  • Support with mobility, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Administer or assist with medication (following training)
  • Offer emotional support and companionship
  • Work with families and healthcare professionals to deliver the best care possible
  • Palliative or end-of-life care requirements

Our clients may include individuals with:

  • Physical disabilities
  • Dementia or Alzheimer’s
  • Learning disabilities
  • Mental health conditions
  • Long-term health conditions

Locations: Plymouth, Exeter & Cornwall

Devoncare provides support 24/7, usually in 12 hours shift. Candidates must be happy working these hours, although shifts are flexible. A valid driving licence and own transport would be advantageous, but not essential.

As a Complex Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients who may have:

  • Neurological conditions
  • Brain injuries
  • Physical disabilities
  • Learning disabilities
  • Mental health needs
  • Palliative or end-of-life care requirements

Your role will include:

  • Assisting with personal care, medication, and daily living activities
  • Supporting clients with clinical interventions (following training)
  • Promoting independence, choice, and dignity
  • Working closely with families, healthcare professionals, and the Devoncare team
  • Providing emotional support and companionship

Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care Provider

Location: Plymouth, Devon



Working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 4.30pm with on-call duties 

We are recruiting for a hands-on committed and experienced Registered Manager, where you can make a real difference to the lives of people with care needs for a well-established domiciliary care provider. We currently provide 1:1 support in 8-12 hours shifts for both Adult Social Care needs and Complex Care.



You will be leading and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional and innovative care and support to the people within the community.



 

What you will be doing:

· Be responsible for the day today management of the care service.


· Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards including CQC local authorities and professional standards.


· Assist in the recruitment and training of staff.


· Take responsibility for the business development.


· Monitor and review care plans regularly to ensure they are meeting the changing needs of our clients.


· Positively contribute to the development of the team empowering them to promote independence within the community.


· To operationally manage the business ensuring effective and efficient use of physical and financial resources


· Provide leadership to a team of staff promoting the values of the organisation and ensuring positive relationships across professional boundaries.


· Conduct regular supervisions appraisals service and compliance audits.


· To contribute to the financial viability and future profitability of the business.

 

What experience and qualifications do you need:

· Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care or Equivalent (or working towards)


· Previous experience of working in adult care in a management position.


· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels


· Adaptability and flexibility
· Proven capacity to manage and motivate a team of staff.



· Efficiently organise plan and prioritise workload.


· A valid UK Driving license is required.
