Hours are Monday- Friday 9-4.30 with ad hoc on call duties
We are recruiting for a hands-on committed and experienced Registered Manager, where you can make a real difference to the lives of people with care needs for a well-established domiciliary care provider. We currently provide 1:1 support in 10-12 hours shifts for both Adult Social Care needs and Complex Care.
You will be leading and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional and innovative care and support to the people within the community.
What you will be doing:
· Be responsible for the day today management of the care service.
· Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards including CQC local authorities and professional standards.
· Assist in the recruitment and training of staff.
· Take responsibility for the business development.
· Monitor and review care plans regularly to ensure they are meeting the changing needs of our clients.
· Positively contribute to the development of the team empowering them to promote independence within the community.
· To operationally manage the business ensuring effective and efficient use of physical and financial resources
· Provide leadership to a team of staff promoting the values of the organisation and ensuring positive relationships across professional boundaries.
· Conduct regular supervisions appraisals service and compliance audits.
· To contribute to the financial viability and future profitability of the business.
What experience and qualifications do you need:
· Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care or Equivalent (or working towards)
· Previous experience of working in adult care in a management position.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
· Adaptability and flexibility · Proven capacity to manage and motivate a team of staff.
· Efficiently organise plan and prioritise workload.
· A valid UK Driving license is required.

We complete an initial assessment to ensure we can meet a person’s needs, and risk assessments identify how risks need to be managed. We maintain systematic and ongoing planning of care for each person, in partnership with care managers and other health or social care professionals.

When a service user has capacity to consent to their care, they sign a consent form following the initial assessment. This can include: washing and dressing, help to get up and go to bed, toilet assistance, bathing, sitting service/companionship and sleepovers. Our staff team also offer help with household tasks including shopping, domestic housework, laundry and preparing meals. Having a live in carer allows you to stay in your own home and lead as normal a life as possible. Live in carers duties vary and can include some domestic work, such as light cleaning, helping with or preparing food, assisting the client with bathing and dressing. They may also accompany the client on shopping trips, walks etc.
Dementia is a term used to cover a range of progressive disorders affecting the brain. Arguably the best known is Alzheimer’s disease.
There is no set reason or age for a person requiring personal care. Devoncare can provide the type of Personal care that fits the individual client needs. This could be a short term requirement, or an ongoing. Either way Devoncare will be able to satisfy the clients needs.
Palliative care sometimes called "supportive care" is ongoing care for someone with a terminal illness and their family. The aim is to ensure the person enjoys as fulfilling a quality of life as possible given their circumstance.
End of life care is similar in many ways to Palliative care. The main difference is this is providing support, care and treatment for people nearing the end of life.
